“The art of communication is the language of leadership.” – James Humes
When we communicate effectively, we increase our impact – our lives and careers thrive. The School of Science Communication has been carefully designed to empower you to improve your career through clear, engaging, and impactful communication. We will guide and train you through practical communication exercises and effective step-by-step tutorials. By inspiring you to think more deeply about your work, we believe to foster a collaborative environment in science and increase knowledge sharing. With this workshop, we will strengthen the science community and enable it to share knowledge with people beyond the science community in an easy and approachable way.
As Anthony Robbins would say: “To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.”
We designed our summer school to support personal and professional growth of science PhD students and postdocs through five-day immersion into science communication guided by a group of dedicated professionals.
School will welcome up to 20 participants.
Postdocs and PhD Students: To be eligible for participation participants must submit a motivational statement describing their current research interests and how they think they would benefit from this workshop.
No prior science communication experience is required.
The participants are required to bring their own laptops.
